Summit Air Tools was founded by Mark Boland in 2002. Mark had been in the air tool business for 12 years before starting Summit. He held Regional Sales Manager positions for a few years and then was promoted to National Sales Manager for a well known domestic air tool manufacturer. He is very familiar with air tools and abrasives and has worked with industrial distributors and abrasive companies throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Mark saw a need for a different kind of tool company, one that was able to listen to the market place and move on its suggestions and recommendations. Summit is a ‘market driven’ company, where the decisions are made based on what the market says it wants rather than what the company thinks the market should have.
This is the foundation for Summit Air Tools… Summit will listen to its end users, distributors, and partners in this global economy, and search for the best products available throughout the world to make us all more productive and profitable. You may notice some similarities, in some of our products, to some other more, established air tool companies. If we are unable to find the product our customers are looking for, we may develop a product. When we develop a product, we do not merely “Copy” a competitive product. We study the most widely accepted tools available, we identify the best features of those products, incorporate them into our design and add what we feel are improvements to the tool.
We know the competition well. We know that they are good. So, for us to be successful, we know we must provide you with comparable quality at the very least and our goal is to provide you with even better quality at a great price. This is not always an easy task, but we are doing it. We’re adding new customers every day and proving to them that we add value.
